Nationwide Transport Now Available
Nationwide transport is now available! We have partnered with a trusted USDA transport company to allow for shipping hedgehogs across the country for an additional fee.
So You want a hedgehog...So you've determined a hedgehog is the right pet for you? To get on the waiting list and take your new little one home follow the following three steps:

step 1: fill out an adoption application
In order to be placed on the waiting list, you must fill out a short adoption application. Please be patient as we review each application. You will be added to the waiting list in the order in which we receive your adoption application.
Once you are on the waiting list, we will contact you as soon as we have a hedgehog available. Please make sure you have a valid email address on your questionnaire. If you do not respond to our emails about your status on the waiting list within the designated time, we will assume you are no longer interested and begin contacting other individuals. The waiting list process varies depending on the breeding schedule. For more information on the waiting list process, please see "I'm on the hedgehog waiting list, what next?"
STEP 2: place a deposit
Once you have been notified that a hedgehog is available, you will need to submit a $50 non-refundable deposit, which goes toward the price of the hedgehog. Our hoglets range in price from $300-$400+. Deposits generally takes place once the hoglet is about four weeks old. You can submit a deposit via Zelle or cash, details on our Payments page. Pick of the litter is determined in the order in which I receive the deposits.

step 3: bring the hoglet home
After seven weeks, the hedgehog will be weaned and ready to go to its new home. Make sure you have a comfortable habitat ready before the hedgehog is weaned (here is a checklist) and you're ready to bring your hedgehog home (read this). At this time we do not sell cage set-ups.
Between six and seven weeks of age, we will contact you to arrange a pick-up date and time that will take place after the hedgehog is fully weaned and ready. Final payment must be received via Zelle or cash (for details, visit Payments) page. Our hedgehogs range in price depending on color, gender, and personality and is at the discretion of Penny's Prickly Pigs. You can expect for the price to range from $300-$400+.
